Lynchburg, Va. -- After a tremendous showing at the Old Dominion Athletic Conference outdoor track & field championships, Lynchburg College track & field's Kaitlyn Johnson has earned the honor of Hornet of the Week.
A freshman from Spotsylvania, Va., Johnson won the conference championship in the 10,000-meter run in 38:14.79. That mark is also the second-fastest in Lynchburg's program history.
Johnson was also third in the 5,000, running the race in 18:17.45. She totaled 16 points toward Lynchburg's first ODAC championship since 2011.
