The Hornets split a twin bill at the Hoopsville Classic this past weekend, winning the first game on Friday night in record-breaking fashion defeating Stevenson, 101-80. The Hornets set a record for the most points scroed in a game at the annual tournament, while the two teams together broke the record for most combined points in a game with 181. Sophomore Connor Schroeder has made a big impact in the first few games, registering a double-double with his second-straight 20 point game (8-14 FG) to go along with 10 boards while seniors Zack Burnett and Jay Allen recorded 10 points each.

Lynchburg fell to Wisconsin-Stevens Point on Saturday despite the strong performance from senior leaders Burnett and Allen. Burnett scored 24 points, going 7-17 from the floor including 5-11 from behind the 3PT line while Allen scored 10+ points for the third straight game to go along with seven assists and three steals.
