Forest, Va. -- Lynchburg College men's basketball's Connor Schroeder enjoyed a career week for the Hornets, and it earned him the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's player of the week accolade.
The junior forward from Blacksburg, Va., averaged 24 points per game in the Hornets' 1-1 week, including a 31-point explosion in Lynchburg's overtime victory at Shenandoah Saturday afternoon. A 17-point effort in Wednesday night's loss to Roanoke preceded that.
He shot 63 percent (19-for-30) from the field in that two-game span and sank 10 of the 15 3-pointers he attempted. Schroeder also led the Hornets with 13 rebounds and three steals in those two contests.
Schroeder has scored in double figures in 17 of his 22 games this season and currently leads the Hornets at 15.4 points per game. That average ranks eighth in the ODAC, while his 58 made 3s are second in the league.
