Forest, Va. -- For the second time in his four-year Lynchburg College golf career, senior Josh Irby has been honored with an All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference nod.
The league's coaches named the Clover, Va., native to the All-ODAC third team, the league announced Monday following the conclusion of the ODAC Championships at Bryan Park Golf Club in Browns Summit, N.C.
He becomes the first repeat all-conference honoree for Lynchburg since Conrad Anguera appeared on the 2010-12 All-ODAC teams.
Irby led the Hornets team with a season average of 76.1 over 20 rounds in his senior campaign. He tied Lynchburg's season-low round with a career-best 68 at the VSGA Intercollegiate in the fall, which ranks third in that category in the LC record books.
Irby leaves the program as Lynchburg's career record holder in scoring average, finishing at 76.7 strokes per round over his four seasons.
A biomedical science major, Irby plans to attend Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Dentistry after graduating this spring.
