Lynchburg, Va. -- Lynchburg College's men's lacrosse program and head coach Steve Koudelka are excited to announce the full schedule for the 2018 season, which again will be among the toughest in the nation with matchups against nine NCAA Division III tournament qualifiers from a year ago.
Coach Koudelka's squad comes off a 15-7 campaign in 2017 which saw the Hornets reach a fourth-consecutive Old Dominion Athletic Conference championship game and an NCAA Division III tournament berth for the sixth-straight season. Lynchburg reached the national quarterfinals with tournament wins over Sewanee and York (Pa.).
The 2018 iteration of Hornet men's lacrosse will debut with a bang, traveling to Charlottesville to scrimmage the University of Virginia on Saturday, Feb. 3.
Lynchburg will begin the non-conference portion of its schedule a week later, Saturday, Feb. 10, at defending Division III champion Salisbury.
The Hornets will return home on Saturday, Feb. 17 to play host to another NCAA qualifier in Franklin & Marshall.
LC will play host to Bridgewater on Saturday, March 10 to open ODAC play, a matchup sandwiched by tough home non-conference affairs with York (March 3) and Elizabethtown (March 11), both programs coached by Hornet alumni.
Other highlights include a game with national runner-up RIT on Friday, March 16 in Owings Mills, Md., at Stevenson's Mustang Classic, a trip to rival Roanoke on Saturday, March 31, and a home date with Washington and Lee on Saturday, April 21. The regular season will conclude at Hampden-Sydney, Saturday, April 28.

The Hornets continue their fall season on Friday night at Shellenberger Field, where they will scrimmage the Virginia Military Institute at 7:30 p.m.
