Lynchburg honored seniors Charmaine Hairston and Sarah Coronel with an 89-85 victory over Eastern Mennonite to close out the regular season before the conference tournament next week at the Salem Civic Center. With the victory the Hornets earned the #1 seed in the tournament and will play the winner of Bridgewater and Randolph on Friday, Feb. 24th at 1:00 p.m.

- Junior Caroline Naumann recorded a career high 27 points while grabbing six rebounds as well

- Coronel added her second double-double in a row with 15 points and 10 rebounds while also recording four assists and three blocks

- Sophomore Alex Allen also recorded a career high with 18 points (80% FG) and had five rebounds

- Sophomore Molly Shephard contributed 11 points and seven rebounds while junior Oliva DeFrancesco quietly had eight points, eight rebounds, and three assists

- Lynchburg held a +10 advantage in rebounds

- The Hornets scored 22 second chance points while only giving up two to the Royals
