Forest, Va. -- The Lynchburg College women's lacrosse team saw five players named to the 2018 All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference teams, the league announced Wednesday.

It is the 10th straight year that Lynchburg has placed at least five players on the all-conference teams.

Senior midfielder Dorrie MacGregor (Centreville, Md.) led the way, being named the ODAC/Virginia Farm Bureau Insurance Scholar-Athlete and also taking first-team honors, and junior attackman Alicia Sandoval (Montclair, Va.) and senior defender Rachel Henderson (Perry Hall, Md.) joined her on the first team.

Sophomore attackman Kelsi Trevisan (West Chester, Pa.) and junior defender Allie O'Leary (Salisbury, Md.) earned second-team honors.

MacGregor, a nursing major, carried a 3.973 cumulative GPA along with an impressive record of internship experience and community service. She was also one of the top midfielders in the league, setting Lynchburg's school records in both career (260) and single-season (124) draw controls as a senior; she also tallied 34 goals and six assists this season.

Henderson led the team in ground balls (49) and caused turnovers (29) for the second-straight season. Her 71 career caused turnovers rank third in the LC career record book.

Sandoval led the team with 43 goals and was second with 19 assists. Like the other two first-team honorees, she is a repeat All-ODAC performer.

Trevisan earned her first all-conference nod by recording 40 goals and 16 assists in her sophomore campaign. She led the team with 99 shots.

O'Leary ranked second among the Hornets with 20 caused turnovers and also chipped in 30 draw controls and 32 ground balls.

Washington and Lee senior Jess Castelo took the league's offensive player of the year honor, while Generals coach Brooke O'Brien was named coach of the year. Roanoke junior Emma Boris was tabbed the ODAC's top defensive player, and Shenandoah midfielder Alyson Bittinger earned the top rookie honor.

Lynchburg finished the season with a 9-8 record, 6-2 in the ODAC, and reached the conference tournament semifinals for the fourth-straight season.
