Jakubek claims ODAC's weekly honor

Forest, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference named Lynchburg College junior Kennedy Jakubek its player of the week in women's soccer.

The Leesburg, Va. native piled up five goals in three games during the week. She began the week by scoring both Hornet goals in a 2-1 road victory at Catholic and backed it up with another two-goal performance in Thursday's 9-0 win over Randolph. Saturday at Washington and Lee, Jakubek netted the first of three LC goals -- and her third game-winner of the week -- in a 3-0 win.

Jakubek currently ranks second in the conference in shots. She is tied for the team lead in assists (3) and game-winners (3) and second in goals (7).
