Forest, Va. -- For the fourth time this season, Lynchburg College's Christina Harris has been honored as the Old Dominion Athletic Conference's women's tennis player of the week, the conference announced Monday afternoon.
The sophomore from Falls Church, Va., won all four matches she played last week, two at No. 1 singles and the other pair at No. 1 doubles, as Lynchburg's women went 1-1.
On Wednesday, Harris and partner Sarah Wyly won 8-5 over Randolph's Keyu Jin and Aubrey Hawn to set the tone in LC's 6-3 win. Harris also beat Jin, 6-0, 6-2, in singles play as the Hornets won their seventh-straight match.
Harris was a bright spot for Lynchburg in Sunday's 5-2 loss to Roanoke. She and Wyly won an 8-5 doubles decision over the Maroons' Avery Smith and Jessica Kennedy before Harris took care of business against Kennedy, 6-1, 6-1, in singles competition.
Harris is currently 12-0 in singles play this season (and 29-1 in her Lynchburg career), and she and Wyly are now 4-0 in doubles play in 2018.
The Hornets will look to get back on the winning track Saturday, April 21 when Shenandoah pays a visit to Lakeside Drive. The match begins at 1 p.m.
