- Maral Tsolmon (Alexandria, Va.) boosted the Hornets out front in the second, serving three straight aces as LC jumped out to a 6-0 advantage. Lynchburg ended the set on a 9-1 tear.
- The Hornets showed off their serving prowess again in the third. Katie Heenan (Nokesville, Va.) presided over an 11-point barrage, which included four aces from the sophomore. She finished with a career-high five aces. Disa Haugsdahl (Warrenton, Va.) cinched the match with yet another LC ace.
