Forest, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference named University of Lynchburg men's cross country runner Andrew Hawk (Coplay, Pa.) its runner of the week, the league announced Monday afternoon.

Hawk led the Hornets to a second-place team finish in the 8k race at the Hagan Stone Classic last weekend in Pleasant Garden, N.C.

The sophomore finished in 29:32.17 to take eighth at the meet, besting his previous 8k personal best by nearly two minutes.

Lynchburg's men are currently ranked No. 6 in the NCAA South/Southeast Region by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association.
