Lynchburg, Va. -- The No. 4-seeded Lynchburg College men's lacrosse team dominated the first round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference tournament with a 24-6 victory against fifth-seeded Randolph-Macon.
Senior midfielder Colin McGuire (Odenton, Md.) and junior attack Evan Lombardo (Franklin Park, N.J.) each scored five goals, and McGuire and junior attack Logan Adams (Grosse Pointe, Mich.) each collected three assists on the field. Sophomore midfielder Kevin Rogers (Leesburg, Va.) chipped in four goals and an assist.
Junior face-off specialist Bo Delaney (Marstons Mills, Mass.) was 14-for-20 on face-offs, allowing him one goal and seven ground balls. Freshman midfielder Peter Robertson scored his first career goal in the ODAC match up and picked up two ground balls.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Lynchburg started off hot with 10 first quarter against the Yellow Jackets. Rogers and McGuire each had hat tricks in the quarter with another two goals from sophomore attackman Trammel Robinson (Memphis, Tenn.). Adams scored the last goals of the quarter bring the score to 10-3.
Lynchburg spread the point gap even farther with another five goals in the second quarter. Lombardo supplied two of the goals with assists from Adams and McGuire.
The Hornets' defense gave up zero goals in the third quarter with four saves in the net. Lombardo scored three consecutive goals with one assist apiece from McGuire and Rogers.
Lynchburg will face top-seeded Washington and Lee in the ODAC semifinals Friday, May 4 at the Generals' Lexington, Va. campus. The time of the match is still to be determined.
