Kansas City, Mo. -- Two University of Lynchburg men's soccer players earned spots on the United Soccer Coaches All-South Atlantic Region teams, the organization announced Monday afternoon.
Mega, a Glen Allen native, led Lynchburg's team with 10 goals and added three assists. He became the first Lynchburg freshman to earn a first-team All-Old Dominion Athletic Conference nod, ranked third in the conference in goals, and was named ODAC rookie of the year.
Mackey becomes a two-time all-region honoree, repeating on the third team. The Leesburg product tallied four goals and three assists, leading the team with 53 shots and 22 shots-on-goal.
The 2019 season marks the fourth in a row that Lynchburg landed multiple players on the all-region teams.
The Hornets finished the campaign with a 9-5-6 record and reached the ODAC tournament championship match.
