LC Women's Soccer Defeats EMU 3-0
Clinch #1 Seed in ODAC Tourney

HARRISONBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College women's soccer team defeated Eastern Mennonite University 3-0 Tuesday evening to earn the regular-season Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) title and the upcoming tournament's #1 seed.

Brittany Klippstein (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) opened the scoring at 6:16 from senior Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson) and the Hornets maintained the 1-0 until intermission.

Katie Santos (Cheltenham, MD/Bishop Ireton) scored two minutes after halftime from Jessica Gonzalez (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) and Kwiatkowski added a late insurance goal from Joanie Snyder (Bel Air, MD/Bel Air).

LC held advantages of 26-3 in shots and 7-2 in corner kicks. Abby Diffenbach made eight stops for EMU (7-8-2/5-5-1), while Jackie Bader (Fort Washington, MD/Bishop Ireton) made two stops.
