LC Women's Soccer Team Defeats Bridgewater 2-0

            LYNCHBURG, VA - The Lynchburg College women's soccer team scored two late goals Wednesday in 2-0 victory at Bridgewater College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play.

            After a scoreless first half, LC finally broke through at the 66:48 mark on an unassisted goal by Betsy Kwiatkowski (Mount Jackson, VA/Stonewall Jackson). Jessica Gonzalez (Springfield, VA/West Springfield) added a second tally nine minutes later from Jill Melanson (North Reading, MA/North Reading).  

            Jackie Bader (Fort Washington, MD/Bishop Ireton) made four saves to record the shutout for LC.  The game was delayed 50 minutes in starting due to adverse conditions.

            The Hornets (5-2/2-0 ODAC) host Emory & Henry College Saturday at 4 p.m.
