Dupuy Scores Three as LC Women's Soccer Defeats Hollins 8-1
ROANOKE, VA – Freshman Dessi Dupuy led the Lynchburg College women's soccer team with three goals as LC won 8-1 over Hollins University in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action on Saturday.
Sophomore Angela Bosco scored the first goal of the game at 4:43 off an assist from senior Jessica Mader. Dupuy added the second goal of the game a little over a minute later for a 2-0 Lynchburg edge. Bosco scored her second of the game at 10:39 before Dupuy complemented her goal with another at 12:21 off an assist from Bosco for a 4-0 lead.
Junior Jessica Gonzalez scored her first goal of the season at 13:12 for a 5-0 lead before Hollins' Kelli Kitchens put HU on the board at 19:11.
Freshman Katelyn Ludwig scored her first collegiate goal at 37:59 of the second half for a 6-1 lead. Dupuy scored her third goal of the game at 64:25 while sophomore Jenn Snyder added the last goal of the game off a feed from sophomore Grace Withers for a final of 8-1.
The Hornets outshot Hollins 35-1 in the contest while Hollins (1-9/0-5 ODAC) goalie Kristen Norkus made 13 saves in the game.
Lynchburg (9-2/5-0 ODAC) hosts Meredith College on Sunday at 2 p.m. on Shellenberger Field.
