#19 Lynchburg Women's Soccer Beats Roanoke 2-0

LYNCHBURG, VA – Sophomore Angela Bosco scored a goal and an assist as the Lynchburg College women's soccer team defeated Roanoke College 2-0 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) rivalry game.

Bosco fed junior Jessica Gonzalez for the first goal of the game at 19:34 to give Lynchburg the initial 1-0 lead. LC outshot the Maroons 11-2 in the first half and had five corner kicks.

At 47:53 of the second half, Bosco scored to make it 2-0. Roanoke (9-4-1/5-3 ODAC) goalie Carolyn Sarabacher made eight saves in the game, six of which came in the first half.

Senior goalie Jackie Bader made one save in the game. The Hornets finished with 25 shots to the Maroons seven.

Lynchburg (12-2-1/7-0-1 ODAC) plays cross-town rival Randolph College on Sunday afternoon at 1 p.m.
