Hornet VB Sweeps Guilford

LYNCHBURG, VA – The third-seeded Lynchburg College volleyball team swept #6 Guilford 25-17, 25-18, 25-22 Wednesday evening in the first-round of the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship Tournament.

Senior Elena Kritter had a solid all-around game for LC, blasting a game-high 13 kills with just four errors to go with nine digs. Rachel Turk and Brooke Moughon each had 17 assists and Turk contributed a game-high 17 digs. Moriah Sedlak posted seven kills and Casey Parrish added six kills and nine digs. Rachel Huffman had five kills and three assisted blocks, and Molly Deacon had 10 digs.

Mary Moody paced Guilford (12-15) with eight kills and Taylor Whitney tallied 19 assists.

The Hornets (21-9) advance to face #2 Randolph-Macon College Saturday at Washington & Lee University at a time to be determined. The winner faces the winner of #1 W&L/#4 Virginia Wesleyan College later in the day for the ODAC title. All three matches will be held at Washington & Lee.
