Hornet Volleyball Sweeps Eastern Mennonite

HARRISONBURG, VA – Freshman Aricquel Payne led Lynchburg College with nine kills on Saturday as LC defeated Eastern Mennonite University 3-0 (25-18, 25-19, 25-13) in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference match.

After leading the way on Friday night in the win over Bridgewater College with 17 kills, Payne registered nine kills off 19 attempts and assisted on a team-high three blocks.

Junior Rebecca Loftis had seven kills while freshman Moriah Sedlak added five. Junior Brooke Moughon led the way 15 assists in the contest while defensively junior Molly Deacon had 10 digs. Deacon also had three service aces in the match.

EMU's Tabitha Bowman and Kyla Moorefield led the Royals (3-9/0-3 ODAC) with five kills each.

Lynchburg (8-1/3-0 ODAC) will host Roanoke College on Wednesday night in Turner Gym at 6:30 p.m. in another ODAC battle.
