LC Volleyball Sweeps EMU 3-0

LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College volleyball team defeated Eastern Mennonite University 25-14, 25-20, 25-13 in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action to kickoff Homecoming 2012 weekend.

Sophomore Aricquel Payne had a match-high 10 kills and added five digs as the Hornets rolled to victory. Sophomore Brittany Crawford slammed seven kills and senior Rebecca Loftis had six kills. Senior Brooke Moughon had 14 assists while senior Rachel Turk had 12 assists. Freshman Sam Page had six digs and three service aces and senior Molly Deacon had six service aces and four digs.

Rachel Kennel posted a team-high eight kills for EMU (4-16/0-10). Mattie Lehman had 22 assists and Katie Miller had 10 digs.

The Hornets (19-6/7-3 ODAC) host Bridgewater College Saturday at 2 p.m. in another ODAC game.
