LC Volleyball Sweeps Bridgewater in Three

BRIDGEWATER, VA – A balanced effort led the Lynchburg College volleyball team to a 25-17, 25-18, 25-22 victory over Bridgewater College Wednesday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.

Freshman Amanda Perry slammed a team-best 11 kills, and added six digs. Fellow freshman Jennifer Garrett had eight kills and five digs while Sierra Strathy contributed six kills and three blocks. Mackenzie Ross and Gabby Myers each had 13 assists and Sam Page had 10 digs and three service aces. LC boasted a .310 hitting percentage for the match.

Megann Grimes and Abby Mills each had eight kills for Bridgewater (9-12/0-6 ODAC) and Lindsay Kallam had 24 assists.

The Hornets (7-11/3-3 ODAC) host the University of Mary Washington Saturday at 2:30 p.m.
