LC Volleyball Drops Match at Shenandoah in Four

WINCHESTER, VA – The Shenandoah University volleyball team scored a minor upset Wednesday evening, defeating Lynchburg College 19-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-15 in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.

Junior Aricquel Payne paced LC with 11 kills and added 12 digs, and Amanda Perry had nine kills. Sierra Strathy delivered seven kills and three blocks, while Gabby Myers and Mackenzie Ross combined for 33 assists. Sam Page had a match-high 19 digs.

Samantha Schambach and Rachel Gross each had 11 kills for SU (12-14/4-6 ODAC). Jasmine Callahan posted a match-high 34 assists and Gross had 18 digs.

The Hornets (11-12/6-4 ODAC) host Hollins University in the last regular-season match of the season, Wednesday night at Hollins University.
