Hornets Stay Perfect Through 13, Down Roanoke 2-0
SALEM, VA - The Lynchburg College soccer team won its 13th-straight game to start the season on Friday with a 2-0 win over Roanoke College in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action.
The shutout is also the Hornets eighth-straight, dating back to September 13 at Bridgewater College. Overall, Lynchburg has now outscored opponents 64-2 this season.
Lynchburg jumped out to a quick start as Angela Bosco found Jade Woll at 19:20. The Hornets extended the gap in the second half when Bosco scored an unassisted goal at 65:53.
Carolyn Sarbacher made seven saves for the Maroons (7-6/3-4) before being replaced by Sarah Dvorak who added two more stops. Tess Frelick made three saves to collect the shutout for Lynchburg.
Lynchburg (13-0/8-0) travels to Salem College Sunday for a 4 p.m. start in non-conference action.
