#6 Lynchburg Women's Soccer Defeats Shenandoah 5-0
LYNCHBURG, VA – Behind two goals each from senior Dessi Dupuy and junior Morgan Singer, the sixth-ranked Lynchburg College women's soccer team defeated Shenandoah University 5-0 Saturday afternoon in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) match.
Junior Jade Woll found Dupuy with a cross in front of the net eight minutes into play to put LC ahead, and Singer netted her first goal just before intermission to make the score 2-0.
Angela Bosco found the back of the net less than a minute after halftime to make it a three-goal game. Dupuy and Singer each added insurance goals and the Hornet defense recorded its sixth-straight shutout.
Emily Maxwell, Dana Nelsen and Camille Bartley each notched assists for LC.
Shenandoah (4-6/1-4 ODAC) keepers Erin Septer and Nicole Pratt split time in net and combined for seven saves. Tess Frelick and Ashley Cox each made one save for Lynchburg in 45 minutes apiece. LC out-shot SU 25-6 and held a 7-0 edge in corner kicks.
Lynchburg (11-0/6-0) hosts Randolph-Macon College in more ODAC play Tuesday at 6 p.m.
