#8 LC Women's Soccer Defeats CNU 4-0
Lynchburg, VA – The Lynchburg College women's soccer team won its seventh straight game 4-0 on Sunday afternoon in a non-conference matchup against Christopher Newport University.
Dessi Dupuy led the way for the Hornets scoring a pair of goals, one in each half. The first was assisted by Angela Bosco and the second came from Marina Clark's corner kick.
Jade Woll scored Lynchburg's second goal in the 31st minute. Hannah Olds added the final tally late in the game for Lynchburg with an assist from Amani Jones.
Lynchburg had 23 total shots in comparison to 11 for the Captains (4-2-2). CNU keeper Carly Maglio made seven saves, while Tess Frelick and Ashley Cox combined for five saves in goal for the Hornets.
The Hornets (7-0) look to continue their undefeated season next Wednesday in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference game at Virginia Wesleyan College at 7 p.m.
