LC Men's Soccer earns a 2-0 victory over EMU on Senior Day
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's soccer team defeated the Eastern Mennonite University Royals 2-0 Saturday in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) play in front of a large Homecoming crowd. The Hornets' honored their six seniors prior to the game for Senior Day.
Lynchburg struck first just 11 minutes into the game when senior midfielder Dan Jobrack fed sophomore forward
Fredy Flores for his second goal in two games. The LC defense held strong throughout the half as Lynchburg took a 1-0 advantage into halftime.
The Hornets had three shots hit off the goalpost as they tried to add an insurance goal. Junior forward Ben Grossfuss would finally give LC a cushion during the 81st minute off a Jon Mackey assist.
Lynchburg held large advantages in shots (28-9) and corner kicks (8-2).

Cory Budka had another solid game in net, making four saves. EMU (3-10-2/1-4-2 ODAC) goalkeeper Daniel Nyce made 11 saves.
LC (7-2-4/3-1-3) will travel to Roanoke College Wednesday at 7 p.m. for an ODAC matchup.
