Roanoke College Wins defensive battle over LC Men's Soccer 1-0
SALEM, VA – The Roanoke College men's soccer team defeated Lynchburg College 1-0 Wednesday night in an Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) matchup.
The Maroons struck for the game's only goal after 29 minutes of scoreless play when senior midfielder Tyler Carbaugh found the right side of the net to give the Maroons a 1-0 advantage. LC goaltender
Cory Budka was able to tally two saves on the night but it wasn't enough to earn a win for the Hornets.
LC created opportunities in the match, holding an edge in corner kicks (5-3) and shots (9-5).
Cole Sinclair made two saves for Roanoke (10-4-1/6-1-1 ODAC).
LC falls to 7-3-4 (3-2-3 ODAC) on the season and will travel to Shenandoah University this Saturday for a 4 p.m. ODAC affair.
