Randolph-Macon's last minute goal edges Lynchburg men's soccer 2-1
LYNCHBURG, VA – The Lynchburg College men's soccer team fell to Randolph-Macon College 2-1 Wednesday after allowing two unanswered Yellow Jacket goals in the second half in Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) action. The game did not start until 8:45 p.m. due to transportation problems for R-MC.

Cory Budka made a tremendous save when he ran out of the box to stop a Yellow Jacket shot attempt to preserve the Hornet lead headed into halftime.
R-MC scored during the 68th minute when midfielder Peter Nelson scored an unassisted goal to even the game at 1-1. LC held an 8-3 advantage in corners, but the Yellow Jackets scored the game-winner with just 1:40 left in the regulation when forward Bryan Lutz headed in a cross pass off a corner kick from midfielder Logan McHugh. R-MC goalkeeper Brian Breslin had seven saves while Budka tailed five.
LC falls to 6-2-2 (2-1-1 ODAC) on the season as Randolph-Macon College improves to 6-5 (2-2 ODAC). The Hornets will travel to Virginia Wesleyan College for a 7 p.m. match this Saturday.
