Seniors Lead #4 LC Women's Soccer to 2-0 Win at R-MC

ASHLAND, VA – Seniors Morgan Singer and Jade Woll each scored Wednesday to lead the fourth-ranked Lynchburg College women's soccer team to a 2-0 victory at Randolph-Macon College.

After almost a complete half of scoreless soccer, the Hornets got on the board just before intermission. Singer headed in a ball after a corner on a double assist from Emily Maxwell and Elizabeth Oden with just 48 seconds left before halftime.

Woll posted an insurance goal from just outside the box on a feed from Frances Foster with 20 minutes remaining.

Lynchburg out-shot Randolph-Macon 28-2 and held a 9-0 edge in corner kicks. Elizabeth Blanco stopped seven shots for the Yellow Jackets (4-6/1-4 ODAC). Hornet keeper Tess Frelick was challenged only once en route to her fifth shutout of the season.

LC (12-1/5-0 ODAC) travels to Bridgewater College for another ODAC match Saturday at 1 p.m.
