Lynchburg Volleyball defeats Bridgewater 3-0
Bridgewater, VA – The Lynchburg College volleyball team defeated Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) opponent Bridgewater College 25-23, 25-23, 25-21 Wednesday night.
It was a balanced evening for the Hornets.
Mesa Willis and
Kelly Layne each had 10 kills, while
Jen Garrett and
Amelia Dalton each tallied six.
Lynn Walsh led LC with 23 assists and
Gabby Myers added nine.
Sam Page and Garrett each had eight digs and Walsh posted six.
Rachel Kinsey led the Eagles (3-12/1-4 ODAC) with 12 kills, while Carleigh Studtmann and Sarah Temple had 10 and nine respectively. Victoria Wilson had a game high 41 assists. Macon Frey tallied 19 digs and Sydney McTigue had eight.
The Hornets (6-9/2-3 ODAC) return to action to face Virginia Wesleyan College on Tuesday October 6 at 6:30 p.m. in Turner Gymnasium for Dig Pink Night.
