Box Score LC Volleyball Falls in Five Sets to Maryville
Maryville, TN – The Lynchburg College volleyball team rallied from two games behind but fell to Maryville College 15-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-23, 12-15 Friday evening in the Maryville Tournament.
Jen Garrett led the Hornets with 15 kills and 15 digs. Kelly Layne contributed 10 kills, three digs, and three blocks, while freshman Amelia Dalton had eight kills and three digs. Lynn Walsh had 30 assists and Gabby Myers had 16. Mesa Willis had seven kills, while Amanda Wrightson contributed five kills. Sam Page had a team high 20 digs.
Sophia del Campo led the Scots (1-1) with 10 kills, while Rachel Kozemko had eight kills and 10 digs. Taylor Youell had 22 assists and 10 digs.
Lynchburg (1-1) returns back to action tomorrow for two matches. They will play Birmingham-Southern at noon and Covenant at 6 p.m. Both game will be played at Maryville.
