Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- Lynchburg College's volleyball team ended the regular season on a high note, blowing past crosstown rival Randolph in straight sets, 25-22, 25-13, 26-24, led by 13 kills from sophomore Sydney Frink (Chester, Va.).
Before the match, the Hornets honored their four seniors: Maral Tsolmon (Alexandria, Va.), Lynn Walsh (Columbia, Md.), Mesa Willis (Dabneys, Va.), and Amanda Wrightson (Toms River, N.J.).

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Lynchburg jumped out to a 15-5 lead in the first set, six of the points coming on Frink kills, but the WildCats stormed back to make things interesting. With the set tied at 20, the Hornets took five of the last seven points to take the set.
- The Hornets controlled the second set from start to finish as Frink and Lindsey Lang (Poquoson, Va.) contributed three kills each.
- Randolph made a run at the third set, keeping it close throughout and battling to a 24-23 lead, but the Hornets came out of a timeout refocused. Jalissa Linz (York, Pa.) put down a pair of kills and finished the match off with an ace.
- Walsh made 24 assists to help the LC attack, while sophomore libero Lauren Stanford (Mechanicsville, Va.) picked up 20 digs.
LOOKING AHEAD
Lynchburg will move on to the ODAC tournament first-round as the No. 5 seed and will head to fourth-seeded Bridgewater on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at a time to be determined.
