Box Score Bridgewater, Va. -- The fifth-seeded Lynchburg College's volleyball team avenged a regular-season loss on the road Wednesday, defeating fourth-seeded Bridgewater, 25-23, 25-22, 18-25, 25-17, in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference quarterfinals.
Sydney Frink (Chester, Va.) and Disa Haugsdahl (Warrenton, Va.) combined for 25 kills to pave the way for LC, and Lynn Walsh (Columbia, Md.) dished out 31 assists to move into fourth in Hornets history in career assists.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Frink kicked off the match with the first of her 13 kills, and Lynchburg built a commanding 22-12 lead in the first set before the Eagles stormed back. Lynchburg held on to win as Lindsey Lang (Poquoson, Va.) put down the clincher.
- The second set was a back-and-forth affair from the start, but Lynchburg took three straight points to lead 20-17 and traded points to win. The Eagles controlled the ensuing third set from start to finish.
- Lynchburg opened the gap in the fourth with an 8-2 run midway through, cruising to victory.
LOOKING AHEAD
The Hornets will hit the road again on Friday, this time to Ashland and top-seeded Randolph-Macon, who Lynchburg will play in the first ODAC semifinal match. No. 3 Virginia Wesleyan and No. 2 Washington and Lee will play in the other semifinal.
