Box Score Lynchburg, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's men's soccer team saw its bid for an undefeated regular season thwarted Saturday night with a 2-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference loss to Bridgewater on Senior Night.
Lynchburg out-shot the visiting Eagles by a 14-7 count and took 11 corner kicks to Bridgewater's one. BC goalkeeper Quentin Boric made six saves.
The loss ended a three-game Lynchburg winning streak against the Eagles, dating back to 2014.
It was also fifth-ranked Lynchburg's first loss in nearly a calendar year, the last coming Nov. 12, 2017 in the second round of the NCAA tournament (1-0 vs. Emory U.).

HOW IT HAPPENED

Bridgewater got on the board with a pair of first-half goals by the Eagles' Jacob Heiston and Luke Stubbs, while Lynchburg out-shot BC 8-3 in the first 45 minutes but was unable to score.

Senior defender Austin Kues (High Point, N.C.) nearly got Lynchburg on the board on two occasions, but both times his shots were cleared off the line by the Bridgewater defense.
LOOKING AHEAD
Lynchburg will close out the regular season Tuesday, Oct. 23 with a trip to Shenandoah. The match is slated for a 4 p.m. start.
