Box Score Greensboro, N.C. -- The University of Lynchburg volleyball team conquered on the road Wednesday night with a 25-18, 25-22, 25-14 Old Dominion Athletic Conference sweep at Guilford. It was the Hornets' third-straight sweep victory.
Led by a 14-kill, eight-dig, two-block effort from junior outside Sydney Frink (Chester, Va.) and sophomore setter Katie Cornelius' (Manassas, Va.) 15 assists and three aces. Junior libero Lauren Stanford (Mechanicsville, Va.) collected 16 digs.

HOW IT HAPPENED

The Hornets came out hot, hitting .281, and pulled away midway through the first set as Frink put down four kills in a 5-0 run. She had six in the set.

Frink led the way in the second as well, collecting five kills as Lynchburg overcame an 8-0 deficit to win, 25-22.

Lynchburg took an early 4-0 lead in the clincher and used a 6-0 run soon after to put the match away.
LOOKING AHEAD
Lynchburg will return home Friday, Oct. 26 to celebrate Senior Night with a pair of matches. The Hornets will take on crosstown rival Randolph in an ODAC match at 5 p.m. before a 7 p.m. non-conference clash with Southern Virginia. Senior Night festivities will take place before the second match.
