Washington, D.C. -- University of Lynchburg's volleyball team swept its way to a pair of 3-0 results Friday at Gallaudet University's tournament.

The Hornets (5-1) bested Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Shenandoah in straight sets, 25-15, 25-17, 25-11, to open the day and followed that victory with a convincing 25-20, 25-14, 25-13 win over St. Vincent in their second match. Full statistics were not available from the matches and will be posted as they become so.

Lynchburg will stay in the nation's capital Saturday, continuing tournament play with matches against host Gallaudet at 10 a.m. and Washington College at noon.
