Bridgewater, Va. -- Mya Green and Abbi Leeper logged double-doubles, Jordan Bartemeyer collected 22 digs, and University of Lynchburg's volleyball team got back on the winning track Wednesday night with a 20-25, 25-22, 25-15, 25-19 road win over Bridgewater.

After dropping the first set, the Hornets came back with a vengeance, starting the second on a 7-2 run and holding on for victory. The third was also close early on until a 7-1 run put the Hornets ahead for good. Lynchburg finished the set on a 13-5 run to take control of the match.

Lynchburg trailed early in the fourth, but a 6-1 run put Lynchburg ahead. BC tied the scored at 17-17, but Bartemeyer tore off a seven-point serving run, three of which were Leeper kills, sent Lynchburg home with a victory.

Leeper had six kills in the fourth set and 14 in the match to go with her 18 digs. Green finished with 34 assists, 14 digs, and three aces; Bartemeyer added five assists to her tally; and Annie Tynes chipped in 13 digs. Khoury May and Emma Drake each put down nine kills for the Hornets.

Lynchburg (8-10, 4-4 Old Dominion Athletic Conference) will continue its roadtrip Saturday, this time heading back north for a conference clash with Shenandoah at 1 p.m.
