Box Score Ashland, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's volleyball team fell Friday evening in straight sets to Old Dominion Athletic Conference rival Randolph-Macon, 25-7, 25-18, 25-9.
The Hornets got a team-high five kills each from Abbi Leeper and Emma Drake, while Annie Tynes led the defense with nine digs. Drake also added two blocks.
R-MC rolled through the first set, but Lynchburg rallied in the second to take an early second-set lead. The Yellow Jackets stormed back to take the second, however, and won the third easily on their way to the first sweep of Lynchburg since 2019.
The Hornets (7-10, 3-4 ODAC) will look to get back on the winning track on the road again Wednesday, Oct. 13 with a 7 p.m. tilt at Bridgewater.
