Box Score Bridegwater, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's soccer team fell to Bridgewater College, 3-1, on the road on Sunday afternoon.
The Hornets fell behind early after Bridgewater' Skyler Daum scored in the third minute of action to put the Eagles up 1-0.
Lynchburg responded in the 33rd minute when junior Amanda Wigboldy scored her second goal of the season to knot the game up at 1-1 and send it into halftime.
The second half saw the Eagles (4-0, 3-0 ODAC) score goals in the 75th minute and the 86th minute to go ahead 3-1.
The Hornets and the Eagles took 12 shots each on the day with the Eagles taking one more shot on frame with seven to Lynchburg's six. Sophomore Maddy Myers had three of the Hornets' six shots and two of them were on goal. Wigboldy and sophomore Sophie Walsh each had two shots.
Lynchburg (3-1, 2-1) will be back on the pitch on Thursday, March 11 at 7 p.m. with another ODAC match up as the Hornets play host to the Randolph-Macon Yellow Jackets.
