Box Score Bridgewater, Va. -- University of Lynchburg's volleyball team dropped its second Old Dominion Athletic Conference match of the year Thursday with a 26-24, 25-16, 21-25, 25-20 defeat at Bridgewater College.
Flinn Christian had 26 digs for the Hornets, Emma Drake put down 13 kills, and Abbi Leeper added 10 digs and nine kills. Taylor Breeden collected 26 assists and three aces.
The Hornets fell behind quickly in the first two sets, but Drake tallied five of her 13 kills in the third set to begin to turn the tide. Lynchburg hit just -.077 in the fourth set, however, as the Eagles closed out the match.
The Hornets amassed a hitting percentage of just .025 in the match -- their lowest of the season -- in the losing effort.
Lynchburg (8-5, 7-2 ODAC) will look to rebound with its final home match of the season Thursday, April 22 when Guilford pays a visit to Turner Gymnasium.
