Lynchburg, Va. -- Abbi Leeper had 12 kills, Josey Walton had 11, and University of Lynchburg's volleyball team won a 25-21, 25-22, 25-14 sweep of Guilford Thursday evening in Old Dominion Athletic Conference action.

The Hornets got out to a 20-10 lead in the first set before Guilford closed the gap, and the Hornets muddled through the end of the first and most of the second sets, eking out victories despite the sloppy play.

Midway through the third, the Hornets returned to early-match form. With the hosts ahead just 15-14, Emma Drake took the serve for Lynchburg and rattled off a 10-0 run to win. Drake had three of her six aces in the run.

Lynchburg will close out the regular season with a match at No. 23 Washington and Lee Sunday at 2 p.m.
