Box Score Glenside, Pa. -- University of Lynchburg freshman forward Meghan Lauder scored twice in the Hornets' win over Arcadia on Saturday afternoon.
Lauder scored her first goal 9:45 into the contest. The Chapel Hill, N.C. native shot from 20 yards out and went bar down for her second goal of the season.
Alyssa Damato and McKenna Dahm subbed into the game at the 20:19 mark and ignited a scoring outburst for the Hornets. Damato scored just 1:21 after entering the contest and Taylor Smith netted another goal three minutes after Damato. Already leading 3-0, Lauder struck again for her second goal of the game and Lynchburg's fourth with 18:29 left to play in the first half.
After a four-save performance last time out, Jade Lecklider earned the start in net and made a save on the one shot that came her way in the first.
Meredith Bowers and Lauren Mason both earned time in between the pipes during the second half. Bowers made two saves and Mason added another as the Hornets shut out the Knights for the fourth time in team history.
Lynchburg is undefeated in five matchups with Arcadia and has outscored the Knights 19-1.
The Hornets (3-1) take the field next against Roanoke in a non-conference matchup on Wednesday, Sept. 22 at 7 p.m.
