Box Score Ferrum, Va. -- University of Lynchburg women's soccer won its second conference match of the week with a 5-0 victory over Ferrum Friday night.
Megan Dee and Ella Tampio-Iorns both scored twice, and Mac Joly secured her fourth goal of the week in the win.
After scoring nine times against Sweet Briar on Wednesday, the Hornets need 35 minutes to get on the board against the Panthers. Nearing halftime, Tampio-Iorns settled a ball in the box, made a spin move around her defender, and finished far post for the evening's first score.
Megan Dee jumped into the team lead in goals early in the second half. She scored twice in just over two minutes for her fourth and fifth goals of the year. Dee's first goal was unassisted, but Sydney Dombrovskis assisted on the second one.
After scoring twice against Randolph on Sept. 24, Tampio-Iorns tallied her second two-goal match of the season in the 62nd minute. The sophomore assisted on Joly's goal just 50 seconds later.
The Hornets scored four times in just over 10 minutes in the second half and rode that five-goal lead for the final 28 minutes of play to improve to 4-0 in the conference.
Lynchburg (6-2-4) hosts Eastern Mennonite on Wednesday, Oct. 12 for a 4 p.m. kickoff on Shellenberger Field.
