Women's Volleyball Travels to EMU for ODAC Battle

Lynchburg, Va. -- The Lynchburg Hornets (11-10) travel to Harrisonburg this weekend for a match vs. Eastern Mennonite (6-11) on Saturday, Oct. 12 at 2:30 pm.

In the 25 all-time meetings between the two programs, Lynchburg has dominated the series winning 21 of the matches. The Hornets have won nine of the last 10, over that course EMU has only won eight sets in the process as well.

This season, EMU has begun ODAC play with a less-than-ideal start, sitting at 1-6 through their first seven conference games. The Lions are 1-4 in their last four matchups and enter this affair on a three-game skid.

Meanwhile, Lynchburg currently resides in the middle of the pack in the ODAC standings. With a 3-3 conference record, the Hornets look to pick up an instrumental conference road win. Lynchburg is coming off a five-set thriller vs. the reining conference champion VWU Marlins.

Junior setter Jaina Leek also is now within reaching distance of collecting her 1,000 career assist, needing 26 more to achieve this milestone.
