Lynchburg, Va. - The Hornets are set to host the Roanoke Maroons (1-5-2), in their final match of a three game home stand this Saturday, Oct. 5 at 4 pm. 

This will be the 31st meeting all-time between the two programs, the Hornets claiming a 21-5-4 advantage in the series. Nonetheless, the Maroons claimed the victory in their most recent affair last season, 2-0. 

Lynchburg (4-4-1) enters this match with a record of 2-1 at home after falling short in their previous contest against #20 Washington and Lee. Regardless, the Hornets have played phenomenally as of late, averaging two goals per game in their last five. Madelyn Boyce, Lauren Orner, and Meghan Lauder have all tallied two goals a piece during this stretch. In the process, Lynchburg has outscored their opponents 10-5. 

As for the Maroons, Roanoke picked up their first win of the season in the most recent match vs. Sweet Briar, a dominant 8-0 victory. Rebecca Carr leads the team in assists and is tied for first in goals with two each, following two goals and one assist against Sweet Briar. Before this match, Roanoke had been outscored on the season 18-3. 

This will be the second ODAC game this season for each team, both entering with a 1-0 conference record.
