Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg men's soccer team is set for its home debut when it squares off against William Peace on Thursday, September 12 at 7 p.m.
The Hornets (0-1-2) have matched up against the Pacers just two times in the last seven years. Last the two sides met, they drew with a 1-1 finish on Sept. 14, 2022. The other contest between the programs resulted in a 7-0 victory for Lynchburg on Sept. 11, 2015.
This season, the Hornets have started the campaign with two draws and one loss. Last time out, Lynchburg competed in the John P. Salamone Invitational, hosted by Oglethorpe University. In the tournament, the Hornets concluded with a 2-1 loss to Emory and a 1-1 draw against the hosts Oglethorpe. Lynchburg looks to bounce back after the past weekend with a victory in its first home match of the season.Â
Following Thursday's contest, the Hornets have another home competition against Catholic on Saturday, September 21 at 2 p.m. Lynchburg heads into its first ODAC action after next Saturday's affair when it takes on Roanoke on Wednesday, September 25 at 7 p.m.
