Lynchburg, Va. -- The University of Lynchburg women's soccer team is set for its first conference contest of the season when it hosts Guilford on Saturday, September 28 at 1 p.m.
The Hornets (3-3-1) have matched up against the Quakers on 30 occasions since 1999. In that time frame, Lynchburg has won 29 of the affairs with an unblemished 18-0 record at home. The last 19 outings have all gone to the Hornets, with the most recent victory on Oct. 14, 2023, where Lynchburg claimed a 2-0 win.Â
Last time out, the Hornets earned a 1-0 triumph against Mary Washington. Defender Haileigh Casey netted the only goal of the match and the first of her collegiate career off an assist from defender
Sammie Rogstad.

Meredith Bowers has had a successful season up to this point as she ranks second in the ODAC in saves per game with 5.8 per game and fifth in save percentage at .806.
Following Saturday's match, the Hornets have two more competitions at home before hitting the road. Lynchburg will hit the pitch against Washington and Lee on Wednesday, October 2 at 7 p.m. before welcoming Roanoke on Saturday, October 5 at 4 p.m.
