Freshman (2014): Showed a lot of potential for the Hornets in his lone appearance before missing the season due to injury…worked one scoreless inning against Emory & Henry College on March 10.

Before LC: Started three years at Patrick Henry High School in Ashland, Virginia…Honorable Mention All-Colonial District outfielder in 2013…batted .301 as a senior with an ERA of 1.92…career .320 hitter with a 3.42 ERA on the mound.

Personal: Son of Jerry and Susan Strong…Has one brother…sport management minor.
