Senior (2015): Led the Hornets with 12 appearances, making five starts… His 56 1/3 innings pitched was third-most in the ODAC… Set the school record for career wins with five innings of action at Hampden-Sydney College on April 8… Continued to show impeccable control on the mound, issuing just eight walks on the year, best among Lynchburg starters… Struck out a season high of seven batters against Virginia Wesleyan College on March 22, holding the Marlins to three unearned runs in 6 2/3 innings.
Junior (2014): Miller had a career year for the Hornets while serving as the work horse of the rotation…won the second-most games in a season in school history (9) while tying for the league lead…pitched the third-most innings in the history of LC baseball…threw back-to-back complete game victories against Eastern Mennonite on March 31 and Randolph-Macon on April 5 to earn ODAC Pitcher of the Week honors…threw three complete games on the season…won the first tournament game for the Hornets since 2012 when he went nine innings of one-run ball while striking out five.
Sophomore (2013): Miller followed up a great rookie campaign with a successful sophomore season, going 5-3 with a 3.06 ERA…had a complete game victory over No. 6 Birmingham Southern College on February 15 while allowing two runs and striking out seven…led the Hornets with four complete games on the year, third-best in the ODAC.
Freshman (2012): Rose to prominence in his freshman season as a top pitcher in the conference…finished with a record of 8-1 in 72.0 innings pitched and maintained a miniscule 1.88 ERA…started three games which included a two-hit, complete game performance against Emory & Henry College in the ODAC Tournament…also had four saves on the year…held opponents to a .235 batting average while only giving up 26 hits.
Before LC: Attended Rockbridge County High School and was four-year starter…first-team All-District and second-team All-Region selection…went 9-3 with a 2.10 ERA his senior season.
Personal: Son of Terry and Lisa Miller...has one brother...religious studies and accounting double minor.
