Cameron Lane

Cameron Lane joined the Lynchburg baseball coaching staff as a graduate assistant coach in the August 2023. Lane played 144 games for the Hornets over a five-year career and was a member of the 2023 national-championship team. See Lane's career highlights below.
 

2022 Second-Team All-ODAC

Graduate Student (2023): Played 30 games this season, with a batting average of .288 …  hit a home run and scored 27 runs … homered against Randolph-Macon … had five multihit games … appeared as a pinch hitter in the 9th inning against John Hopkins June 7th,  his first action since April 29 and was hit by pitch for the 60th time in his career.

Senior (2022): Played in 42 games for Lynchburg  ... reached base at a .497 clip third on the team with 52 hits ... led team with 19 HBP ... enjoyed a 13-game hitting streak with 20 hits from Feb. 27 - Mar. 25 ... had three four-hit games ... batted .397 as the leadoff hitter ... stole 10 bags, drove in 30 RBI, walked 28 times, and hit 11 doubles. 

Junior (2021): Slashed .274/.457/.463 in 95 ABs ... drove in 27 runs and hit 11 doubles, two triples, and one homer ... went 2-4 with a double to open the season at Greensboro on Feb. 20 ... had a five-game hitting streak spanning across the ODAC Championship and NCAA Southeast Regional with seven RBI.

Sophomore (2020): Played in 13 games in the abbreviated season with seven hits, including a home run, and six RBI ... Went 2-for-4 with a double Feb. 22 in a victory over Manhattanville ... Homered and drove in three runs Feb. 27 in a win vs. Greensboro.

Freshman (2019): Saw time in 26 games with a .333 average and seven doubles ... Went 3-for-6 with two doubles and four RBI in a March 30 doubleheader sweep at Emory & Henry.
